Tassie Gniady is Ph.D. candidate in the English Department at UC-Santa Barbara. Her interests include early modern literature, disability studies, the study of sexuality and gender, and archival theory. She is currently writing a dissertation on early modern female monstrosity. She was the project manager for UCSB's English Broadside Ballad Archive from 2003-2007 and is still a consultant on the project. She has also helped to maintain the website for the department's Early Modern Center in addition to creating a database for Writing Program Materials with a summer institutional development grant. She has served as a Transcriptions T.A., the Early Modern Center Fellow, and as the Ballad Archive's Fellow.
