Amanda Phillips is a first year graduate student in the UCSB English Department. She prefers video games to books and believes that the practice of running one's eyes over thick bundles of paper is a silly and dying art. She feels no lingering regrets about this.
In addition to being a contributor for the Gameology blog community, Amanda does her very best to root out the deeper significance of stories contained in the likes of video games, movies, and the occasional book. She has a very strong interest in kick-ass women of good and (especially) evil alignments: Samus Aran, Ellen Ripley, GLaDOS, and Aileen Harding have caught her eye recently, but that, as they say, is just the beginning.
